Data we process and why

We process the data you provide when you contact us or book a consultation (name, email address, phone number if provided and the content of your request) in order to reply and manage your enquiry. The legal basis is taking pre-contractual steps at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). If you hire a service, we will process the data needed to provide it, invoice it and meet our legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR). We will only send you marketing communications if you give specific consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

Retention

If an enquiry does not lead to a contract, we keep the data for up to three months after closing it. Client data is kept for the duration of the contract and afterwards for the periods required by law. Data used for marketing communications is kept until you withdraw your consent.

Recipients and external services

To run the website, email, bookings and payments we use hosting providers, Brevo, Google and Stripe. They access only the data needed to provide their services. We will also disclose data where required by law or, if you hire us to plan your wedding, to the suppliers needed to organise it.

Google and Stripe state that certain data may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Depending on the case, they rely on adequacy decisions, including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable, or standard contractual clauses. You can review these safeguards in the policies of Google and Stripe, or ask us for information at the email address above.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability of your data, and withdraw your consent, by writing to info@sucre-events.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
